Waste Management Activities

Hyundai Polytech manages two types of waste among defective products generated in the production process: 'Rubber' and 'Steel'.

Waste disposal costs are managed by the Management Support Team, and to reduce defective products from process defects and quality inspections, we link quality management activities and improvement activities such as quality investigation and My Process.
Additionally, we conduct education according to waste reduction plans and educate employees in charge of each team on waste reduction methods and proper waste disposal methods.

As a result, while waste disposal costs were 140 (million won) in 2022, as of October 2023, the cost was 99 (million won), a 29% decrease compared to the previous year.

This represents a positive achievement indicating that the company is reducing the occurrence of defective products and establishing an efficient waste management system.
In this way, the company is fulfilling environmental responsibility while achieving efficient production and waste management.
